What do the German elections mean for Europe, Brussels 18 September 2017

On 18 September, a week before German voters head to the polls to cast their ballot, the European Movement International, together with the European Movement Germany, will hold an event in Brussels to discuss the upcoming German federal elections from a European perspective.

Featuring speakers from civil society organisations, political groups and the business sector, this debate aims to talk about the German elections in a European context. Which EU-related issues are primarily featured in the German election campaign and in the party programmes? What are the priorities of German voters? How will the outcome affect businesses and what is the view from Brussels?

After an initial discussion in which the panelists offer their views and insights into the German election, the moderator will open the floor to questions from the audience. The discussion will be followed by a drinks reception.
